Like Hemingway's "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" Buddies is a local bar and grill that serves typical Midwestern pub grub. The food is reasonably priced, the service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and well-lighted.

Buddies is DA BOMB. I used to live in Morris, and would drive to Hancock just for this little gem. I've tried half the menu, and everything I've eaten there is wonderful. The service is lightning fast and super friendly, and the prices are SUPER affordable for a lot of food. The only downside, which isn't a huge deal, is that the dessert menu is small (this is a bigger deal to my wife than it is to me). You really can't beat this place within 50 miles -- believe me, I've tried.
